After 6 years, the old website was breaking down. Sure, every year we'd throw a fresh coat of paint up to try and cover up the cracks, but the old components were no longer being supported. This made for a lot of patching by hand, trying to keep things working smoothly, but in the end a futile endeavour.
So, we've rebuilt the site on modern components, a new foundation that should carry us forward for the next 6 years. The downside is that you'll have to re-register. Why? The new site stores account info differently from the old site, and we felt it was a good time to clear out the inactive users out of the system.
You can start by creating a new account.
Since we're also moving to a new forum system, we're leaving behind the old forum posts. We kept a few things for nostalgia, but the vast majority of posts weren't needed.
If you run into any bugs with the new site or forum, post the problem in the Bug Reports forum section.
Please let us know what you think of the new site. It's far more reliable, flexible and upgradable than the old, and thanks to CMN for the old site, hopefully the refresh will get his mook seal of approval.
